Anette Garces-Dominguez MD
Dr. Garces graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus in 2003, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. Then continued studies in the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus where she earned her M.D in 2007, and subsequently completed her residency in Internal Medicine in 2011 and also her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in 2014. As a fellow Dr. Garces participated in multiple research presentations related to endocrinology disorders and also research publication. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. After Dr. Garces completed her medical education, she worked as an Endocrinologist in her private practice in Caguas Puerto Rico for several years. In 2017, after hurricane Maria devastation in Puerto Rico, Dr. Garces was part of a group of doctors and nonprofit organizations who provided help to people in need throughout the island. Driven by her desire to expand her experience in patient care, Dr. Garces decided to transfer to the Houston area. She is an active member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the American Thyroid Association, the Puerto Rico Society of Endocrinology and Diabetes, and The Endocrine Society. Dr. Garces is passionate about her work and set her goal to provide compassionate and excellent care for each patient. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with family.
